As afternoon approaches, a chorus of crispy autumn leaves underfoot fills the backyard of Lindsay and Grant’s beautiful Pasadena home.  As family, friends and guests arrive  on this warm fall day, we are greeted with the smell of lavender that grows in abundance in the couples backyard.  Celebrating with some traditional Scottish flair, the Groomsmen sported plaid kilts while the Bridesmaids donned elegant navy dresses and sequined hair barrettes made by Jessica from Kustom Voodoo.  Since Halloween is the bride’s favorite holiday, the house and yard are filled with pumpkins and squash laid upon stacks of hay with flower arrangements embodying autumn done by the bride’s friend Hannah Levien.

Children are running and laughing, often in search of Roscoe the dog, whose hearty build is softened by his pale blue eyes and gentle gait, indicative of his magnanimous nature.  As the last toasts are made the bagpipe reverberates, signaling the ceremony has come to end- but the party has just begun.  Everyone caravans over to the reception, where drinks, food and laughs are plentiful.  Servers barely have time to set their plate of finger foods down before hands are snatching up these delicious morsels.  As soon as the last piece has been claimed the empty plate is retrieved and immediately replaced with a new dish soon too devoured.  There is a gentle murmur of conversation among the adults, while children enjoy  a cupcake in hand, sometimes two at a time!  Photo assistant Jeffrey Tang lends an eye in capturing these moments.  These delectable treats were made by the bride’s friend Issac.  And the cake, which the couple lovingly fed to one another, was catered by Sweet Lady Jane on Melrose.  The days events were thoughtful, down to earth and fuss free much like Lindsay and Grant.  Take a look, you wont’ be disappointed by this memorable autumn wedding.
